Midwest Fall Technology Conference

On November 13th through November 15th, 2016 the Minnesota HIMSS Chapter in partnership with the Iowa, Indiana, Greater Chicago, Wisconsin, and Michigan HIMSS Chapters will have the honor of hosting the annual Midwest Fall Technology Conference at the Radisson Blu, Mall of America in Bloomington. This year’s theme is "Secure Your Patient’s Experience".

The Midwest Fall Technology Conference brings together our Midwestern community for three days to share our best practices and learn from subject matter experts how to best protect our patient experience.

If you have practical information and experience that can help healthcare clinicians, managers, consultants, and business and technology experts make sound decisions regarding patientcentered data security, please join us as a presenter of a breakout session. We have a particular interest in presentations that are energetic, innovative and/or interactive and exemplify technological advances driving security in patient‐centered healthcare. Submissions must be received by Monday, June 27, 2016.

This year’s conference will consist of three tracks:
Point of Care Devices-Security & Policies
Keeping Patient Data Secure & Accessible
Data Security & Population Health

We expect a wide variety of healthcare professionals to attend each of these tracks. The audience is likely to include:

  • CEO’s, CIO’s, CNO’s, CFO’s
  • Physicians and practice management clinicians
  • Nurses, Pharmacists, Clinical Technicians, and Technologists
  • Information Technology professionals
  • Management engineers
  • Clinical and biomedical engineers
  • Clinical informatics professionals
  • Public Health professionals
  • Hospital and clinic IT business professionals
  • Health plans & employers
  • Managers in Hospitals, Clinics and Public Health organizations
  • Security Analysts
  • Other healthcare professionals

Proposal Evaluation Criteria:
This year, we are particularly focused on interactive or innovative presentations in our breakout sessions. As such, proposals will be evaluated based on the following criteria: interactive elements, speaker experience, and originality of the material, timeliness of the information, clarity, and educational value.

Submit Proposals to mwftc.presentations@gmail.com 5pm on June 26, 2016.
