The Indiana Hospital Association and the Indiana Chapter of HIMSS are pleased to present the Indiana HIMSS Spring Conference. The focus of this conference will be cybersecurity with additional afternoon sessions addressing current health IT initiatives.

The morning cybersecurity sessions will progress from what is the risk to how to manage the risk and finally how to respond when a cybersecurity incident has occurred. The afternoon will begin with a panel to further discuss cybersecurity and answer questions from the audience. Two sessions will complete the day with a focus on meaningful use and ICD-10.

John Peterson, Aon
John is the practice leader for Aon’s Professional Risk Solutions group. He has been with Aon for twenty-six years and his primary focus is on management and professional liability that encompasses financially driven products and solutions, including cyber insurance, directors and officers liability, employment practices liability, professional liability, fiduciary liability, crime insurance and kidnap/ransom insurance.

As the senior attorney at Hall Render on information technology, Jeff advises large and small companies on legal issues relating to computer hardware, computer software, technology, privacy, copyright, trademark and the Internet. He concentrates his practice on information technology and privacy issues relating to health care entities, including hospitals, physician groups and pharmaceutical companies. With more than twenty years of experience, Susan serves as a compliance solutions leader at CSpring, Susan works closely with State government clients, along with Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) and Family and Social Services Administration (FSSA). Susan is nationally recognized for her in-depth knowledge of medical coding, regulations, and policy. Her expertise includes ICD-10 medical coding, electronic health records, claim system analysis, correct coding, reimbursement strategies, fraud and abuse detection, and policy development.
